Access to healthcare remains a significant challenge in Central California, with many individuals struggling to obtain necessary medical services. Adventist Health’s Mobile Care program directly addresses this issue by bringing vital medical care to those who need it most.
“The Mobile Care service is an important expansion of our network of eight hospitals and 130 clinic locations,” says Jason Wells, President of the Adventist Health Central California Network. “Many of the areas in our region are quite isolated and it can be difficult for residents to make it to a hospital or clinic. Now, we can come to them.”
Services provided by Mobile Care include health screenings such as blood pressure, blood sugar and urinalysis as well as wellness checks, vaccinations and school sports physicals. Various locations in our rural areas, including parks, schools, senior centers, soup kitchens and more, are frequented each month by the mobile unit.
