Grateful Journeys program inspires thanks

More than 50 associates have been honored by patients and patients’ family members in the last month through the Grateful Journeys program.

The Grateful Journeys program invites patients and their family members to express appreciation for the care they receive. Stories and messages of appreciation are shared by filling out Grateful Journeys brochures that are placed in waiting areas and included in discharge paperwork. This opportunity to express gratitude gives patients a way to celebrate a caregiver who made a difference in their lives. Saying “thank you” in this way also provides patients with an opportunity to actively support their caregivers.

Diana Leal was recently recognized through the Grateful Journeys program by a patient who had visited the Medical Records Department where Diana works to pick up some paperwork. Diana helped her with an app on her phone that she had been struggling with. Diana’s kindness in going out of her way to help brought the patient to tears.

The patient shared, “Diana is an outstanding individual and I can’t thank her enough for the kindness she showed me during my entire interaction with her.”

Diana expressed that she just likes to treat people the way she hopes someone would treat her loved ones. Thank you, Diana, for providing high quality customer service to each person you encounter. going above and beyond.

Are you grateful for the care you received? Please tell us about it!
